My goal is to bridge the gap between complex data and the people it impacts. With my lived experience with foster care, doctoral research training, and California policy experience, I bring a unique practitioner-informed lens to data collection, evaluation, and funding strategies that prioritize justice and community voice.
Client Data Privacy and Defense: Led a taskforce to protect vulnerable Californians' data in 2025, in collaboration with legal counsel. The taskforce’s work, a combination of legal and technical mechanisms, informed Attorney General Bonta's November lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Cross-Agency Systems Design: Coordinated the design and implementation of California’s first integrated child care dataset. This was a successful (pilot) integration of child care program data for improved decision-making around the supply and demand of child care in California.
Legal Aid Community Mobilization and Advocacy: Mobilized statewide legal aid leaders through regular convenings, fostering relationships to brainstorm how to minimize federal policy and budget impacts. I organized workshops and other sessions on legal access for immigrant communities, disaster preparedness, housing and homelessness defense, and related policy issues.
